The Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center located in Saluda, Virginia is currently exploring the option of installing a flash freeze plant to store surplus produce from the area and give residents of the facility skills to re-enter the workforce. At the present time, there is no way to preserve large quantities of gleaned produce. In order to mitigate this problem, this team will design a flash freeze plant in SuperPro based on the facility's needs, desired crops to freeze, and the budget specified by the Executive Director of Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission, Lewis Lawrence. In addition, the economic feasibility study provided by Scott Tate from the Office of Economic Development will be taken into consideration in the design process.
